What you should know about COVID-19

(COrona VIrus Disease 2019)

Dear Patients,

We have been tracking the COVID-19, originally known as 2019-nCoV situation daily and we will continue to do so.  With the disease now established in the US, and with spring break and major holidays coming up shortly, we will continue to follow the orders of the local and national officials.

We need to make prudent choices to protect the health of our patients, staff, and our own community and the broader communities we belong to, without creating unnecessary disruptions to our patients.

These guidelines represent our best judgment, at this moment, about practical steps we at Beaumont Psychiatric Clinic are taking:

  • We are currently seeing patients only via tele-psychiatry for psychotherapy and psychopharmacologic medication management.
  • Regarding our patients that receive interventional behavioral health treatments (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, ketamine infusion and Spravato treatment. We will decide on a case by case basis if symptoms mee thet threshold that requires continuation of treatment.

I assure you that my team and I will continue to take all measures necessary to protect our patients, our team and our community against the spread of COVID-19.

Sincerely,
Jason Mensah, DO, MBA

TESTIMONIALS

"I received TMS from Dr Isakson and am very happy that I did. I was hoping to be able to rid myself of my psych meds and feel like a normal person without depression. That may have been asking too much. However, I did have a lot of improvements. I don't have that voice in my head that keeps telling me to kill myself. In fact, I have had no suicide attempts since my TMS. My depression lows are not as overwhelming and I am able to crawl out of my hole in a few days rather than months. I had a drastic decrease in my anxiety and I am thinking more clearly. In fact, I can hold a decent conversation without getting lost.

People have told me that I look and act less depressed. Finally, I am getting out more and volunteering in different groups. I still have my days of isolating and have some anger issues. I am not yet ready to become employed, but today I have hope for the future. Thank you for allowing me to share."

"After being diagnosed with Major Depression at the end of 2013 I had been on what felt like a never ending cycle of ineffective medications and underwhelming treatments which resulted in several impatient stays, debilitating symptoms including not being to even get out of bed or cook an egg, shower etc., major hardships in my personal relationships, and many embarrassing and frustrating lifestyle adjustments.

This was my life until I met and began working with Dr. Abigail Isakson. Just over a year ago I decided to take a huge risk and temporarily move to Flagstaff to do daily TMS treatment with Dr. Isakson and her team. I had to find out for myself whether all the research I had done and if the online testimonials I had seen were true and if this treatment, that not even my local Doctors had heard of, could possibly make a difference in my life for the better.

The answer was, yes! That change happened within the first 2 weeks of starting TMS treatment. I experienced a major lift in my crippling depressed mood and remained depression free during the entire duration of the amazing TMS treatment. For the first time in over 5 years I had 3 consecutive months of my life back.

After, a temporary setback upon moving back home and not being able to keep up with regular TMS maintenance treatments, as had been recommended by Dr. Isakson. She did another thorough assessment of my individual struggles with depressions along with my current state of mind, while examining all my past medications and reactions to them. Dr. Isakson decided to place me on a whole different medication treatment which she had to fight several times for my insurance to finally cover and so far, this innovative latest medication treatment plan has given me significant and consistent relief from the symptoms of Major Depression and I am deeply appreciative.

I can honestly say that working with Dr. Isakson has changed my life and opened my eyes to an elevated, hopeful and productive standard of care within the Mental Health field that in my experience has been a struggle to find. I consider it such a blessing to have found a Dr. like Abigail Isakson.

Dr. Isakson's approach has been innovative, thorough, collaborative and inclusive. Her interest in my concerns and the engagement in my constant research makes me feel like we are a team working together toward the same goal. I feel as though all my thoughts were welcomed and respected.

She has a very sharp mind; asks the right questions and speaks honestly and directly with her patients. She cares deeply and that spirit seems to drive her to never stop fighting and working so hard to uncover the very best outcome for each individual she works with. Her treatments are individualized, not a cookie cutter or factory line approach.

Dr. Isakson makes sure the best treatment always wins; even if there are obstacles or difficulties to overcome. Dr. Isakson and her right hand, Ellaina over this last year have fought tirelessly for me multiple times and they have also been some of my biggest cheerleaders. I have had the best experience with Dr. Isakson and her team and I know you will too”

"The office staff is very courteous and makes the whole process fast and easy. They never forget to employ various comfort and safety measures with every session, so the process is non-invasive, bulletproof and 100% safe. This should definitely be one of the first lines of therapy tried to get symptoms under control due to the fact that side effects are practically zero.
I appreciate all you guys have done to help me."

"I had about 30 treatments for my OCD... easy, painless, no more than 30 minutes and I had a cheerful technician. I had no dramatic change...I still had bad days...yet my good days seem to be better than before and last a bit longer. And I'm still hopeful that they played a part in helping me feel better."
